The Outsourcing of Today 25 May 2007

The Spreading of Offshore Outsourcing benefits the developing countries workers to have more job opportunities.

Outsource companies have there own goals and tactics to gain more profit but in low cost to attain more customers in the last few years. They are merging with other companies in the same field and even though these companies are their competitors. Outsource companies in IT like IBM have their own way, some protest coming from their employees for they are planning to replace all 150,000 American employees from a lower paid employees in Offshore locations like in India.

The widespread of Offshore Outsourcing in some countries indicates that outsourcing is evolving on how we work and the way they are managing their companies. Motives of corporate bean has gone offshoring in a developing countries rather choosing industrial countries. They are taking advantage on developing countries and the huge wage gap between industrial countries for they are using this “labor arbitrage” or in outsourcing this is the financial benefit of a comparable service to exploit the difference in pricing for their own benefit. In other words this are the savings of the organization that they enjoy in labor markets offshore and are paid low cost salaries than hiring domestically.

Even companies describe this strategies their best shore but with a negative effect in some industrial countries. According to some experts these are only plan of companies efforts on re-balancing workforce. Offshore IT outsourcing(ITO) suppliers and companies are spreading have been making to control rising labor costs and use it to gain profit. This also includes the expansion of operations in low-cost cities and countries like in china and Philippines. According to experts, Offshore in IT Outsourcing will continue to rise for about 8-11 percent each year but this are only listed data but this is nothing compared to what's really happening today.

Companies in United States benefits in this labor arbitrage by offshoring in IT development and maintenance services from developing countries in Asia because the wage inflation in this regions are significantly lower than the expected. Analyst says that this labor arbitrage became a grave threat for American workers. Despite of their highly educated and service professionals they must compete with Asian workers that work as hard as they can but accepts one-fifth of the actual salary of the American workers. The competition occurs not only in Asia but also in their neighbor country like Mexico. Outsourcing continuously evolving and no one knows what lies ahead.
